Week 3 - Peace Givers DAY 4

Jesus gives us peace and he wants us to give that same peace to others. People who are not at peace will perpetuate non-peace.

- Pastor Donovan

“If we are going to find lasting solutions to difficult conflicts or external wars we find ourselves in, we first need to find our way out of internal wars that are poisoning our thoughts, feelings, and attitudes towards others.”

- Arbinger Institute

Read: Matthew 5:43-45
“You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’  But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,  so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.”

Read the entire chapter: Matthew 5

Prayer: “Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Supplication: This simply means that you know what you want from God, and you make it clearly known to Him.

Thanksgiving: Tell God why you Love Him and what you are thankful for in your life. Try this next: focus on the things that you have received that once you may have only hoped for. These things are often forgotten and given little attention.
