Scripture
1 Peter 4:7-11

Peter urgently reminds us to live with purpose and love in the limited time we have, to be sober-minded. How I live today matters for eternity. Because we don’t have a lot of time, we should have a lot of love. Love should be elevated above all else, transcending the temporary pursuits of wealth, pleasure, fame, and all other pursuits. It's a call to invest in what truly lasts beyond our earthly existence.

Love has the power to cover a multitude of sins. As opposed to hatred, which only stirs up strife, love has a way of offering forgiveness instead of retaliation, hope instead of hostility, grace, and mercy instead of keeping a record of wrongs.
